When I was young, I hated tomato
but only if it was on its own
In other food, it was great,
and I was able to push past this “hate”
As I got older, my tastes have matured,
Or at least, I’ve found a tomato cure
With that in mind, I made some bruschetta!
because who wants to cook in this super hot weather?
Got some really crusty bread,
Something like a baguette
All I did was add salt and pepper,
then I drowned it in EVOO and balsamic vinegar!
Don’t forget the fresh basil
That’s what really makes it dazzle!
